Three Belgian beers win prize in Hong Kong

Three Belgian beers won a prize at the International Beer Award of Hong Kong. Framboise, Hoegaarden and Delirium Tremens were chosen as the best in their category.

The Lindemans brewery won the Hong Kong International Beer Award 2009 for best fruit beer with its raspberry flavoured Framboise beer.

Hoegaarden from the beer giant AB InBev was chosen as best light beer in the category 'Belgium Style Standard Strength Specialty Beer' with less than 6% alcohol content.

The high fermentation beer Delirium Tremens from the Huyghe brewery in Melle won a prize in the Belgian Style Strong Ale category. With a score of 86.5 points the strong blond beer (9% alcohol content) in a grey bottle with a pink elephant on the label came in as the second favourite beer overall.
