Thomas Cook cancels all package holidays to Egypt
Tour operator Thomas Cook has decided to scrap all travels to Egypt until 15 September.
This is because the Belgian Foreign Office adapted its travel advice, and because Thomas Cook "wants to offer its customers flexibility and a maximum freedom of choice", a statement said.
All package holidays to coastal resorts in Egypt are being cancelled until mid-September. Earlier, Tour operator Jetair announced that it will not offer any package holidays to Egypt until 24 October.
Thomas Cook presently has a couple of hundred Belgian holiday makers staying in Egypt. Meanwhile, Britain, Poland, Russia and several German tour operators are still sending customers to Egypt.
