TEDxBrussels 2011 - A Day in the Deep Future

26th September 2011, Comments 0 comments

What does the future hold for us? What will the world look like a year or ten years from now? How about fifty years?

This is one of the universal questions of humankind, and yet it's so difficult to answer that the few people who dare answer it tend to get the answer horribly wrong. We probably can't predict human evolution on millennial time frames, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Just as "those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it", those who can't be bothered to think about the future are doomed to be slaves of society's evolution.

A Day in The Deep Future will be a battle of Big Visions, about what the year 2061 will be like, what the world will look like 50 years from now... beyond the Singularity.

Join, register, meet with our great audience and our speakers David Brin, Esther Dyson, Peter Hinssen, Leila Chirayath Janah, Rudy Rucker, Eileen Bartholomew and many more!

TEDxBrussels 2011 will take place on November 22 at the Bozar. For the entire program and more information visit: www.tedxbrussels.eu
