Ryanair introduces four new routes to Charleroi Airport.

New routes will be launched at the end of October to Arrecife, Las Palmas, Tenerife and Stockholm Skavsta.

Janita Govinden, a Ryanair representative for Belgium and France, explained that the three new routes to the Canary Islands were made possible after the decision by the Spanish government to reduce airport charges. These reductions have allowed Ryanair to introduce a total of 39 new routes to and from the Canary Islands throughout Europe.
The Charleroi-Stockholm Skavsta route previously existed between 2004 and 2007, but Ryanair made the decision to stop all flights because of the large number of empty seats. The company have now decided to reintroduce the route at a more appropriate time, monitoring it to see if a more frequent service is necessary.
Ryanair hopes to attract 310,000 travellers per year with its four new routes, said the Ryanair spokeswoman, adding that the launch of these routes will create 310 local jobs.
