The European Cup tie between Stade Francais and Ulster on December 19 will be held at the Roi Baudouin stadium in Brussels, the French club announced.

BRUSSELS - Stade Francais president Max Guazzini said the decision had been made to help raise the level of interest in the sport of rugby in Belgium.

"We want this game to be a real event. It gives Stade the chance to play in a great stadium in the heart of the capital of Europe," he told a press conference.

"Brussels is one hour 30 minutes away from Paris, it will enable Parisans to discover the Belgian capital."

"This is a win-win deal between the club and our city," added Bertin Mampaka, responsible for sport at Brussels' town hall.
