Proposals for wind turbine units in Belgium by 2010
Windeo, a wind farm company which already owns ten sites in France, wishes to open two wind turbine business units in Belgium.
In January, Windeo became the first operator to propose a comprehensive service for companies and local communities who want to install small wind turbines around their land, reported La Libre Belgique on Monday.
The company proposes to open two sites, one in the Walloon region and the other in Flanders, creating ten new jobs for local workers.
Windeo predicts a turnover of EUR 80 million by 2012.
Loïc Pequignot, the president of Windeo, said that each week he receives at least ten emails from Belgium, where “the buyout of electricity to receive ‘green’ certificates is common, which is not the case in France.” Windeo could collaborate with Fairwind, who would serve as their provider.
