BRUSSELS — The Brussels public prosecution office released on Friday new video footage of the killers of Joe Van Holsbeeck.
The footage was recorded by the surveillance cameras of the Brussels casino in the Duquesnoystraat.
After the stabbing on 12 April, the culprits fled Brussels Central station via the main entrance and ran along the Duquesnoystraat towards Grand Place.
They were then filmed by the security cameras of the Brussels casino.
The culprits are not very recognisable in the moving footage because they run past the cameras too quickly.
But on still images, their faces are clearly visible.
All school directors from Brussels will be showed the video images on Friday.
Justice authorities hope the images will lead to a 'golden tip' resulting in the arrest of both suspects.
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that other video footage was taken by surveillance cameras in the shopping centre City 2, close to the train station Brussels North.
But the public prosecution office later denied these media reports.
Belgian media had reported that there are 68 security cameras in the shopping centre and that the suspects had met other youths there.
In other news, the Brussels metro authority is also examining surveillance camera footage from the past few months.
Security camera footage from Brussels Central was made public earlier this week in a bid to identify the killers. A stream of tips has since been lodged with police.
