ANTWERP – An anonymous donor from Antwerp is willing to pay the travel costs for the family of Oulemata Niangadou, the Malian nanny murdered by Hans Van Themsche last year, so that they can attend the trial.

Five family members of the girl wanted to come to Belgium but were unable to afford the trip.

The justice ministry ultimately decided to pay the travel costs for the girl's mother and uncle since they have also been called as witnesses.

An anonymous individual has now also volunteered to pay the EUR 3,000 in travel costs for the nanny's aunt, sister and daughter.
