Missile hits Belgian base

During a missile attack on the airport of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan three Belgian soldiers were injured. The attack also caused considerable damage to two Belgian army tents.
The three Belgian soldiers had to be taken to hospital for medical attention, but they were soon allowed to return to their unit.
The missile hit the protective bulwark of the Belgian camp. The Belgian soldiers are with a detachment of 4 Belgian F-16 planes, operating as part of the ISAF operation in the southern part of Afghanistan in Kandahar.
ISAF stands for International Security Assistance Force. It is a NATO-led security and development mission in Afghanistan. It was established by the United Nations Security Council on 20 December 2001.
