18 April 2007, BRUSSELS – The neighbourhood around the Zwartzustersstraat in Antwerp is raising money to place a stone in memory for 2-year-old Luna.

BRUSSELS – The neighbourhood around the Zwartzustersstraat in Antwerp is raising money to place a stone in memory for 2-year-old Luna.

The girl was shot and killed on 11 May lasts year while out with her Malian babysitter Oulematou Niangadou.

Hans Van Themsche shot the toddler and her nanny because of his racist beliefs. He also seriously wounded a Turkish woman in the incident.

The neighbourhood residents have come up with the plan in close consultation with the toddler's parents.
