"Loft" breaks all records
The Flemish movie "Loft" has become the most successful Belgian film ever.
On Wednesday the movie set a new record at the box office.
Erik Van Looy and Bart De Pauw's film has now broken a 19 year old record and has attracted more cinema goers than "Koko Flanel".
Loft was released on 22 October 2008.
Seventeen weeks later 1.082 million visitors had seen the movie.
It is still running in 41 cinemas.
The distributor Independent Films says the achievement is remarkable because Koko Flanel and that other big success story, Hector were both family films.
Loft is a thriller about an adulterous relationship and is aimed at an adult audience.
