King Albert II visits Queen Fabiola
Queen Fabiola has been in hospital since 16 January.
King Albert II visited his sister-in-law Queen Fabiola in hospital. She is still in intensive care unit of the Sint-Jan Hospital in the centre of Brussels. Queen Fabiola's Spanish relatives have also been to visit her. According to the royal palace press service of the the queen's condition is 'stable'.
Her famiies in Spain and in Belgium are receiving regular updates on the Queen's condition. According to the palace press service she has already received visits from members of her Spanish family.
Queen Fabiola has been in hospital since 16 January. She has a serious lung infection. Earlier in the month she underwent a thyroid operation. The operation took place in a hospital in Liège and was done under hypnosis rather than narcosis.
