BRUSSELS – Walloon companies are lagging behind Flemish ones when it comes to IT. This has emerged from a study by MarketCap together with trade magazine IT Professional. The southern part of the country is catching up little by little.

The study estimated that Walloon businesses are about 3 to 5 years behind those in the northern part of the country. But they are catching up: servers are being replaced more quickly than in Flanders and Brussels.

The rift between Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels has become deeper however with regard to software and e-commerce.
