Henin beats Serb Ana Ivanovic in three sets
The world's number one ranked female tennis player Justine Henin is through to the final of the Sydney Tennis Tournament. She beat the Serb Ana Ivanovic in three sets 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in Thursday's semi-final.
The semi final match against world tennis' fourth ranked female player was Justine Henin's first real test this season.
Ivanovic proved a formidable opponent and had three chances at a break in the second game.
However, Henin kept her nerve and was able to take the first set 6-2.
Ivanovic came back and took the second set 2-6.
This forced the match to go to a third set that Henin won 6-4.
The Belgian Sportswoman of the Year will take on the world's number two female tennis player Svetlana Kuznetsova in Friday's final.
