Francine De Tandt suspended for another month
The suspension of the president of the commerce tribunal in Brussels has been extended by another month after a decision from the court of appeal.
De Tandt, who is undergoing a disciplinary enquiry and penal instruction, has been suspended from her duties since the end of August this year.
She is suspected of having collaborated with businessmen and their lawyers, and of accepting bribes in court cases.
The public prosecutor is currently in the process of deciding whether De Tandt is guilty of corruption. Until the decision has been made, De Tandt will remain suspended from office.
