The Fashion Museum is hosting a 'Modern Times' party on Saturday 17 October. The party is a unique opportunity to revisit the Jazz Age, a time of glamour and glitter reminiscent of the movie 'The Great Gatsby'. The party coincides with the Jazz Age exhibition that is currently on at the fashion museum and which is devoted to the clothes and accessories of the Roaring Twenties.
At the 'Modern Times' party you will be able to enter the world of flapper girls and dandy boys. Prepare to dance the Charleston, the Fox Trot and even the Shimmy.
Experts will be on hand to give your hair the 20's look. For the ladies there are make-up artists too. Unsure on the dance floor? The Retronettes will show you how and Colette Collerette and the Flying Willy will conjure up a naughty atmosphere.
To ensure a genuine atmosphere illicit cocktails marketed during the Prohibition will also be available.
Tickets for the party are available online (12 euros) or on the night (15 euros). The party takes place at the Fashion Museum, Gasthuisstraat 11 in Hasselt on Saturday 17 October. A ticket also gets you admission to the exhibition The Jazz Age that runs at the museum until 13 March 2015.
