First snow in the Ardennes

9 November 2007, ARDENNES – The first snowflakes of the season fell in the Ardennes region this morning. There was about 5 centimetres of snow in the vicinity of Bastenaken by 5 am on Friday. The snow quickly started melting at about 8.30 however.

ARDENNES – The first snowflakes of the season fell in the Ardennes region this morning. There was about 5 centimetres of snow in the vicinity of Bastenaken by 5 am on Friday. The snow quickly started melting at about 8.30 however.

The winter flurries reached the vicinity of Martelange, Habay and Aarlen at about 8 am. The snow also caused problems at a number of motorway exits. A car overturned on the E25 near the Baraque Fraiture. One person suffered minor injuries.
