Embassy sends envoy to Bam

14 August 2007, TEHRAN – The Belgian ambassador to Iran, Hervé Goyens, will most likely contact the Iranian ministry of foreign affairs today to discuss the abduction of two Belgian tourists in the southeast part of the country, the Belgian foreign affairs ministry announced today.

TEHRAN – The Belgian ambassador to Iran, Hervé Goyens, will most likely contact the Iranian ministry of foreign affairs today to discuss the abduction of two Belgian tourists in the southeast part of the country, the Belgian foreign affairs ministry announced today.

The embassy will also send one of its employees to Bam to obtain information from the local authorities about the fate of the two tourists, spokesperson Francois Dumont said today.

It was the prefect of Bam which reported the disappearance of the Belgian couple on Monday.
