Club Brugge bungles

In first division football second-placed Club Brugge lost to Mouscron by 2-0 on the 25th match day.
Leaders Standard de Liège widen the gap with Club by 4 points. Standard have 55 points and Club Brugge have 51. Cercle Brugge won their Saturday match against Westerlo 1-0. In third place, Cercle trail Club Brugge by 3 points.
The victory for Mouscron was long overdue with a winless streak of 13 matches hanging over their heads.
Novice Idir Ouali brought Mouscron that step closer to breaking the streak with a first goal in the 29th minute.
A fantastic goal by Bastien Chantry sealed the victory forcing Club to their knees for their third defeat in four matches.
Racing Genk suffered their fifth defeat of the season at the feet of Mons with a score of 1-2. KV Mechelen beat Dender 0-3. Zulte Waregem pulled out a 3-1 win over Roeselare.
Fourth victory of the season for last-placed FC Brussels
At the bottom of the standings, a happy FC Brussels celebrated their fourth victory of the season- the fourth victory in 25 matches. FC Brussels beat 14th placed Lokeren by 2-0.
Goals were by Valery Sorokin 11 minutes into the match, and Olof Guterstam just before half-time, in the 44th minute.
Brussels narrow the gap at the bottom in the overall standings.
Brussels now trail Sint Truiden by 3. Sint Truiden lost on Friday to leaders Standard, but with an honourable score of 2-1.
