Boy pricks finger on HIV syringe

18 October 2007, BRUSSELS - The syringe in the garden of the Antwerp Stuyvenberg hospital on which a 6-year-old boy pricked his finger on Sunday contained traces of the HIV virus. The chances that the boy is contaminated are very slight. He is now taking AIDS blockers. The Hospital board regrets the incident and will take additional measures. Drug users often cause a nuisance around the Stuyvenberg hospital.
