Belgian teenage girl found in Poland after 'abduction'
Police have found a missing Belgian teenager in Poland where she was allegedly being held captive by a Belgian man, news agency PAP reported on Tuesday.
The 15 year old was discovered on Monday with the Belgian man, 29, in the town of Szczecinek in northwest Poland.
The pair had been staying in the town since May, police said.
Officers arrested the man, who was being hunted on a European arrest warrant accused of abducting the girl.
The suspect, who has not been named, was placed in custody awaiting extradition to Belgium, police spokesman Maciej Karczynski told PAP.
The teenage girl was taken to a youth home and will either return to her family or be handed over to the Belgian embassy in Warsaw, legal officials said.
