Belgian inflation falls below 2%

It's swings and roundabouts as electricity prices fall but mobile phone calls, pubs and restaurants become more expensive.

The retail price index now stands at 1.93%. It is the first time since September 2007 that inflation has dropped under 2%.

Foreign travel, petrol, flowers, mobile phone calls, pubs and restaurants all became more expensive in February.

It's not all bad news though: natural gas, electricity, fresh vegetables and heating fuel price fell .

In just seven months inflation has fallen nearly 4% from 5.91 to 1.93%.
