BRUSSELS — Holocaust denier and Belgian national Siegfried Verbeke has been ordered to stand trial in Mannheim in Germany.

Besides Verbeke, two Holocaust deniers of German nationality will also stand trial, a spokesman from Mannheim Court said.

Verbeke was arrested in November 2005 at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on request from German justice officials.

He is accused of spreading doubts via the internet about the Holocaust (the murder of 6 million Jews during World War II).

Verbeke is currently being held on remand detention in Germany and has previously been convicted in Belgium for denying the Holocaust.
