BRUSSELS — A British Airways plane made an emergency landing at Zaventem Airport on Sunday.
The Airbus 320 was travelling from London to Frankfurt and was not scheduled to land at the Brussels international airport.
The pilot received a warning telling him there was a small fire in the luggage hold and requested an emergency landing at Zaventem.
The plane landed on the main runway, but an inspection showed that there was no fire in the hold, VRT reported.
All 143 passengers exited the plane without any problems and resumed their journey on another flight.
The incident caused problems at Zaventem, as planes were diverted to other runways and a minor collision between two planes occurred.
The emergency landing was the 3rd such procedure at Zaventem in recent weeks.
