One Belgian in two says he/she feels 'happy' or 'very happy' at work and 30 percent affirm being 'rather happy' in the work place.
Most Belgians (73 percent) describe their relationship with their boss as 'captivating', 72 percent describe it as based on trust, and 63 percent as stable.
The results of the survey also show that people between the ages of 35 and 39 tend to be less satisfied with their work conditions and jobs. They also reported experiencing more stress than their older and younger counterparts.
Geographically, Belgians working in Flanders seem to be happiest, 53 percent of those asked, while in the Brussels and Walloon regions only 40 percent and 39 percent, respectively, of the people interviewed said they were very happy at work.
Also, Belgians working for small companies employing less then 500 people reported being happier than Belgians working for larger companies.
Walloon employees reported more concern and distrust towards their company and management, 42 percent, while only 23 percent of employees in the Flanders region voiced such concerns
Finally, men reported more work satisfaction then women, 55 compared to 48 percent.
