ANTWERP – The Antwerp courthouse on the Bolivarplaats and the appeal court on the Waalse Kaai were evacuated this morning after a bomb threat was received. They have now been reopened.

The bomb threat was called in to the Gazet van Antwerpen editorial office at about 8.25 am on Wednesday, the public prosecution department has announced. The caller spoke in English and said that the "courthouse" would be blown up. Both buildings were searched thoroughly but nothing suspicious was found.
