31 January 2005, BRUSSELS - Around 10,000 people in Wallonia choose or are forced to live in campsites, it has emerged.

BRUSSELS - Around 10,000 people in Wallonia choose or are forced to live in campsites, it has emerged.
The Wallonian regional authorities say it is working together with 28 communes to remedy the situation.
The number of people living in precarious conditions on campsites has doubled in the past ten years.

The Wallonian say they authorities hope to change this trend over the next five to ten years.
An initiative by the town of Philippeville would also allow 24 communes to change recreational zones into living areas.
