30/11/2010Practical filmmaking school in Brussels

Practical filmmaking school in Brussels Raindance offers English-speaking filmmaking courses.

The filmmaking school that launched Christopher Nolan (Inception, Batman: The Dark Knight, Memento), Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) and Guy Ritchie  (Sherlock Holmes, Snatch) opens in Brussels !

Founded by Elliot Grove (producer, founder of the 'British Independent Film Awards’ and author of several filmmaking books), Raindance is both a film school and a major film festival in United Kingdom. The festival celebrated its 18th edition on October 2010.

Raindance is providing courses in screenwriting, directing, production and acting in London, Toronto, New York… and now Brussels !

The courses are provided in English and French. They take place in the evening and on the week-end at l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles, in collaboration with "Les Ateliers d'Art Contemporain de la Ville de Bruxelles".

Raindance courses are designed for those who don’t have the opportunity to attend a traditional curriculum during office hours. Recognized Belgian professionals and world-wide experts ensure high quality teaching. The courses are also relevant for everybody who is interested in movies as well as for professionals who want to improve their skills in specific domains.

Vincent Lannoo, Laurent Denis, Alexis van Stratum, Anthony Rey, Roel Monderlaers, Michaël Roscham, Peter de Maegd, Elliot Grove, Michaël Bier... are the first speakers.

We start our English courses with 2 filmmaking events coming in December In Brussels:

Pitch your movie idea, impress our panel and convince them to pick your idea up for further development!
