You know Los Lobos from 'La Bamba', of course, but hopefully also from albums like 'Kiko' and 'La Pistola Y El Corazon'. Or you could compare them with Ry Cooder's recent American Mexican repertoire. Los Lobos are just as surprisingly diverse in their musical show: folklore as well as staunch rock or fiery funk up to and including sensational soundscape trips.

With an important turning point in 2003: the CD 'The House Carpenter's Daughter', which she released herself and exquisitely idiosyncratically based upon existing poems and lyrics.

Megadeth, established in 1983, is one of the pioneers of the trash-metal genre (together with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, Megadeth companions in The Big Four tour this year). In their almost 30-year existence the band has had more than 20 official members but Mustaine (who also provides the vocals) remains the only constant factor. 25 million copies of their 12 studio albums have been sold world-wide.

As proven by his latest American Classic CD: on Blue Note, bursting with timeless 'torch-songs' and 'standards', and with Norah Jones, Diana Krall… Just the sort of 'evergreen' excursions that this spirited American also already successfully perpetrated with his ground-breaking Stardust album (produced by Booker T)!
