Carl De Keyzer: Vision of power 30/01/2008 00:00

'Trinity' by Flemish photographer Carl De Keyzer opened on Tuesday in the National Library of France.

In the Bibliothèque nationale de France (National Library of France) the exhibition 'Trinity' by Flemish photographer Carl De Keyzer opened on Tuesday.

Carl De Keyzer has been a member of the photography agency Magnum for years. The elite agency composes collections of documentary photography or photojournalism.

In his new exhibition, Mr De Keyzer shows his interpretation of power in the world. He says his inspiration for the exhibition came from 19th century paintings of rulers, the army and the people.

His photographs are displayed in the rooms that used to house the private museum of the French statesman Cardinal Richelieu.

According to the Flemish photographer, the exhibition is an attempt to put today's media, which is very fast and very cheap, into perspective.

'Trinity' runs at the National Library of Paris until 13 April.
