The EDGY EVENING of BAD TASTE promises a mad night full of music, literature, performances, installations, film, and a DJ-set until dawn. Musicians, writers, filmmakers and artists will occupy the rooms and halls of the Palace of Fine Arts, doing all kinds of things together. Everything is possible. The thing is that in Iceland, artists don't like to be pigeon-holed.

The brain behind the project and host of the night is Einar Örn Benediktsson, a 'hands-on' expert in bad taste. From 1986 to 1992 he was the vocal nuisance in The Sugarcubes. After this tremendously influencing band split up, he worked as a barman and as a concert and festival organiser. He also founded the first cybercafé in Reykjavik. Einar Örn is the co-founder of the record label Smekkleysa (meaning 'bad taste', with releases from The Sugarcubes, Björk, Sigur Rós, Múm, Mugison, Kimono, and many others). In 2003, after his musical Sabbath, Einar Örn started a solo-project that soon turned into the extremely flexible two-man band Ghostical: electronic beat music with dub, hip-hop, rock and noise elements.
