A tribute to women, sprung from the imagination of one of the great figures of flamenco - the dancer and choreographer Mario Maya: Mujeres (“Women”) brings together three generations of bailaoras: the legendary and fascinating Merche Esmeralda; the muse of 21st-century flamenco, Belén Maya, introduced to the wider world ten years ago by the film director Carlos Saura; and, finally, Rocío Molina, personification of the latest trends in flamenco dance. Three destinies united by the same innate sense of elegance in movement.
