The school, which is housed in a large villa in rural Lasne, offers large and bright classrooms opening up to a vast garden/playground. Furthermore AC Montessori Kids is approved by the Belgian youth authority O.N.E., which means that school fees for children up to three years are tax-deductible.

AC Montessori Kids will begin a new class for children aged 6 to 9 in September 2001.

Montessori House Belgium

Montessori House Belgium was founded in 1995. It is a school born from the spirit and force of both teachers and parents who believe in the Montessori principles. Montessori House Belgium is situated on the border between Waterloo and Braine L'Alleud. The school has three classes: Nursery (ages 2-4), Primary (ages 4-6) and Elementary (ages 6-9).

In view of the growing demand for a Montessori school in the Brussels area, we are very pleased to announce the opening of a new bilingual school for children aged 2-6. Montessori House Brussels is located in the heart of the city on 195 Avenue de Tervuren, 1150 Brussels, just off Square Montgomery and close to the European Union Institutions. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport.

Classes are kept small in both schools with a child to teacher ratio of 8:1. Two Montessori trained teachers in each class ensure a high academic standard. The staff hold a genuine concern for the academic, social and personal development of each child, which forms the core of the school's educational character. Children are encouraged to care for and respect the natural world around them.

Both schools are bilingual (French and English), although English is the principal language. French lessons are given on a daily basis and children follow weekly music, gym, sports and swimming classes with specialised French-speaking teachers.

The schools follow a modern Montessori program. Language skills, mathematics, computer skills, cultural studies, music and poetry, arts and crafts and performing arts are all an integral part of the curriculum. Pupils also perform concerts and plays for parents twice a year. Furthermore, the schools organise field trips each term to museums and local events.
