Van Damme crashes car in Knokke-Heist 04/09/2006 00:00

BRUSSELS — Film star Jean-Claude Van Damme crashed into a tree at 6am on Sunday on the Kalvekeetdijk in Knokke-Heist.
No one was injured in the accident, news agency Belga reported.
Minor damage was recorded in the accident and police said Van Damme was the only person involved.
The case was processed as it would have been for any other person.
An alcohol test was carried out, but police have refused to reveal the results of the test.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is not unknown to Knokke-Heist: his parents live there.
He was born in the Brussels, but left Belgium to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and got his break in the early 1990s.
