Punctuality an "absolute priority” 02/02/2007 00:00

BRUSSELS – For the first time in years the punctuality of the train system fell last year to 90.6 percent. “The punctuality of the trains was indeed poor in 2006, but Infrabel has a plan with new measures ready,” says Frédéric Petit, spokesperson for rail infrastructure manager Infrabel .
“Punctuality is and must continue to be an absolute priority for Infrabel. It is something we are constantly working on and in which we invested 8 million euro in 2006 ,” said Petit. “But we do have to admit that punctuality in 2006 was not great.”
