LIEGE – A couple from Ans is convinced they saw missing British child Maddie McCann at the Place Cathédrale in Leige on Sunday, according to La Dernière Heure.
Jeanine and Roland say the girl was with a couple. The woman says she called out Maddie's name twice. "The girl turned to look but at that point the couple and the girl got into a car," she says.
Jeanine and Roland immediately alerted the police, Child Focus, and the embassies of Great Britain and Portugal.
Madeleine McCann disappeared more than three weeks ago from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve. She had been left in the apartment with her two younger siblings while her parents ate dinner at a nearby restaurant.
The McCanns will be visiting a number of European capitals in the coming days to mobilise the press and aid organisations in the search for their daughter.
