BRUSSELS — On Monday another group of passengers wounded in the Belgian bus crash in the German Würsburg will return home, HLN.BE reports. It is not yet clear how many passengers will return today, this will depend on how many people will be allowed to leave hospitals. The passengers will be brought by ambulance or by helicopter.
Meanwhile, the condition of the three heavily wounded passengers has improved. One of them, injured in his neck, will be able to come back home in a matter of days.
A doctor representing the Mondial Assistance insurance company is visiting the patients in Germany to arrange for the return of the other two heavily injured passengers.
The (Belga) Reizen Lauwers bus crashed in the German town of Würsburg on Saturday night.
Out of the 42 passengers on board, 18 passengers were wounded and hospitalized in Germany. All the passengers were Belgians, returning from their skiing vacations in the Alps.
According to the German police, the Dutch driver of the bus, Henri T. (52) had lost control of the steering wheel. The public prosecutor will decide today whether the driver can go home.
