18-year-old girl murdered after party 03/07/2007 00:00

BRUSSELS – An 18-year-old girl from Riemst was found murdered in a brickyard in Lanaken on Monday morning. Gabriella Hessels did not come home on Saturday night after a party. Investigation led the detectives to a 28-year-old labourer. The man has submitted a partial confession.
Witnesses had seen Gabriella Hessels leave the party with 28-year-old L.. The man showed detectives where they could find the girl on Monday.
The public prosecution department in Tongeren does not want to comment on the cause of death.
